FLORENCE ISD

On April 17, 2018 the Florence High School Varsity Band became the 1^st Florence High School Varsity Band to be awarded with the UIL Sweepstakes “B” Trophy! The award symbolizes that the Band earned a 1^st Division in Concert and Sight-reading! 

On April 3, 2019, the Florence High School Varsity Band earned a 1^st Division (Superior) rating in the Concert Performance  of UIL! This 1^st Division qualifies the Band to perform in May 2020 for the UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival at UT Austin Bates Recital Hall.

On March 11, 2020, the Florence High School Varsity Band earned a 1^st Division rating in the UIL Concert & Sightreading Evaluation! This rating qualifies the Band to perform in May 2021 for the UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival at UT Austin Bates Recital Hall.

Futhermore, with the Band also earning a 1^st Division rating at the 2019 UIL Marching Band Contest, the Florence High School Varsity Band was awarded, for the 1^st time in school history, the UIL Sweepstakes A Trophy! This Trophy signifies the Band earning a 1^st Division rating in all 3 UIL Band events during the school year (Marching, Concert, and Sight-reading)! Congratulations! Go Buff Band!
