I am excited to be teaching 7th grade science. This is my seventh year to be a part of FISD but this is my fourth year here at the middle school. In previous years I taught math and science for 5th grade at the elementary.
For five years, I was a 3rd grade teacher and grade level leader at Haynes Elementary in Killeen. Prior to teaching I enjoyed careers as a District Support Manager for First National Bank Texas and as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines
I am blessed to live here in Florence near family. I have two precious children: Rex, age 10 and Lyla, age 8.
We have one dog: Karate Slim Pete, two horses: Lucky and Honey and two cats: Lightning Bolt and Zelda.
I thoroughly enjoy spending time watching my children grow. At ages ten and eight, they are quite entertaining. When I do have a spare moment, I love to read. In particular, I enjoy biographies and historical nonfiction. From time to time, I also enjoy baking and decorating cakes.
My favorite color is blue. I collect pumpkins, sugar skulls, and crosses.
